Question 1

Is Magic Mate free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use some of the app's features for free, or with limits. To lift those limits, you need a paid subscription.

Question 2

What does Magic Mate do with my Twitch account?

Accepted Answer

It reads your channel and asks Twitch for what its tools need, like your schedule, your chat for the bot and the raids you start. Nothing runs on your channel until you turn it on, and you can disconnect it anytime from your Twitch connections.

Question 3

Is it for small streamers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Magic Mate is built for small streamers growing their channel. You don't need an audience to start.

Question 4

Do I need to install anything?

Accepted Answer

No, everything runs in your browser. To put an overlay on stream, add its link as a Browser Source, or connect your streaming software and Magic Mate adds it to your scene for you.

Question 5

Does it work with OBS and Streamlabs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Overlays, the companion and captions are Browser Sources: copy the link and add it to your scene in OBS or Streamlabs.

Question 6

What's the companion?

Accepted Answer

A little pixel art character, ready-made or drawn by you, that sits on your stream. It reacts when your channel moves and stays quiet the rest of the time.

Question 7

What are AI credits?

Accepted Answer

They're only used by the options that run on AI, like cloud captions or the chat bot's automatic answers. Everything else in Magic Mate doesn't use them. Every plan gets a fresh batch each month, 40 on the free plan.

Question 8

Can I cancel a paid plan anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Manage subscription on your Plan & billing page. You keep the plan until the period you paid for ends, then go back to the free plan.

Question 9

What does Magic Mate do with my data?

Accepted Answer

Only what it needs to run its tools, and nothing is sold. Magic Mate is built and hosted in Europe.

Question 10

Can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time, from your account settings. Your account and everything in it are deleted, and your uploaded files within a day.

Question 11

My question isn't here. What now?

Accepted Answer
